Old Boys 1 Aang Wolf 2
With time to burn, i was there at Pasir Ris sec to witness the game that kick start our championship race with old boys. With them still having 2 games in hand, we will be level on points come game 14 (if they were to win their remaining 2 games in hand).
Mathematically RCA also still have a chance with them winning their last 4 games and us not winning any they would lift the title, but they would need to clear all and we would need to lose the remaining 2. That being said, if they were to lose the game today against Beached Whales we would be guarantee a top 2 spot.

Both of their game in hands does not look easy as against the mighty Italians will never be easy and not forgetting the pacy uni undergrads that we had a hard time battling against.
The sun was hot and baking and the field was green as ever. The perfect scenario to burn your energy levels away and what a way to start the game with just 11 men on the old boys side. Looking at the other dugout it will only demoralise any team as they have 18 men raring to go to keep their team up in division 3.
The game kicked off with both sides having equal share of the ball. But most goal scoring chances were given to Aang. Hitting the woodwork twice in 5mins, it really seems that they are going to lose it. Conceding a penalty 10mins later definitely did not help as they soon went down 1-0 20mins into the game.
But soon a break from within their half sprung their comeback. A lob ball over the defence's of old boy's led to Aang's no.19 with an open one on one chance. Determined not to let it hit the woodwork again he place it just above the keeper's hand and into the net. 1-1
Old boys never really had a sniff at the 1st half and was basically trying to get themselves to the half while Aang kept piling on the pressure.
2nd half was another affair when Old boys up their tempo to try and win the game. They push their man forward but it was also this tactics that led to their loss.
3-4 good chances was created but it was either Aang's keeper to the rescue or the woodwork had done it's job. (seriously the post have been hit at least 6 times today) Aang seem to have the lucky fairy on their side when another break, near final whistle 85mins?, led them got in to get the winning goal. A poor defending at the back led the left winger in and got a easy goal.
Old boys try their best to get the equaliser but time wasn't on their side as the ref soon blew the final whistle.
Seems like a last season Man utd and Man City title race is on the cards as both of us march towards the end of the season. Definitely a nail biter and i will keep you updated as the matches carries on. I have also notice a few things while watching the game and i will duly let you guys know when we play them come 13 oct!
Kambing!
